Comes with digital download card.įor future listening I will now only listen to this disc as I feel it is better than my SACD. Klein, with additional credits to original tape, DSD, digital, etc. Original liner notes and remastering notes giving credit to ABCKO Records, restoration producer, Jody H. It does have inside picture of little Stones candles that where on original LP. Packaging: Plastic case, note, Amazon shows wrong picture of case. I listened via HDMI, highly recommend and of course plays best loud. If you already have the SHM SACD and you are not a Let It Bleed purist than you are OK, if you are a purist this HFPA release is better, to be simple. The Stones fused elements of blues rock and country in the best of ways on here and create some of the best rock songs of the 60s, especially tracks like Gimme Shelter, Monkey Man and You Got the Silver. Not the best of reviews but let me say it another way. When it comes to certain albums fun is all that's really needed and The Rolling Stones classic album 'Let it Bleed' is a prime example of that. Opening track the SACD starts a little right and goes left to center, whereas the Blu Ray starts off more center.Īcoustics, over all feel of this Blu Ray is better, more clear, if you will.

The differences are very subtle and I am not sure I would notice unless I did this A/B comparison. I will make a note that my experience when I compare discs of same performance, albeit fun it does distract me from the performance as I am listening for differences, rather than the actual performance. Stereo Sonics: VS my SHM SACD, very subtle. Performance wise any recorded version will be OK. Performance: Of course an iconic Stones performance and I am certainly not going to add anything that you don't already know. Released in 1969, Let It Bleed is the eighth British and tenth American studio album by English rock band the Rolling Stones.

My other version that I compared this BD~A is the Serial #UIGY 9021 Cardboard Sleeve Mini LP SHM SACD, released June 30th 2010. The Stones closed out their 1960s studio output with LET IT BLEED, a raunchy collection of new material which carried their earlier return to their blues roots on BEGGARS BANQUET several steps further, in addition to bridging the departure (and subsequent death) of Brian Jones and the arrival of his successor, Mick Taylor. The inherent contradiction and tension that lies at the heart of the blues – groovy, feel-good music about painful experiences – is never better expressed than on this wonderful record.Rolling Stones: Let It Bleed Blu Ray Stereo Only

The Rolling Stones got their mojo back with Beggars Banquet, and on Let It Bleed, guided by an irrepressible Jimmy Miller who was also coming into his full power as producer, they give themselves the time, the space and the tunes to give it full expression. (There's an exception, of course: Brian Jones contributed nothing meaningful to Let It Bleed, was too out of it to play his instruments anymore, even when he did try to turn up to sessions, and died long before the album was released.

This is the blues, black and white, shaded with mellow country tones, shot through with blood-red and night-dark horror stories, lifted and lit with silver linings and powered at all times by an inherent good humour that comes from the confidence of a band of hard-living, hard-playing, hard-rocking, hard-working musicians who are back on top of their game and aware of the fact.

From the first haunting guitar riffs of Gimme Shelter to the angelic gospel fade out of You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Let It Bleed is a stone solid rock classic.
